FAQ
Are your canvases painted or printed?
Our canvases are printed, not hand-painted. Printing allows for clean, consistent designs and enables us to offer high-quality canvases at a more accessible price.
What is the value of a printed canvas?
A printed canvas offers the same stitching experience and finished result as a painted canvas, with added benefits. Printing ensures consistent color placement, crisp design details, and significantly lower cost. This allows stitchers to focus on the joy of stitching rather than the price of the canvas.
Will the printed design affect my stitching?
Not at all. Our designs are created specifically for needlepoint and printed with stitching clarity in mind. The printed lines guide your stitches just as a painted canvas would, without bleeding or distortion.
What skill level do I need?
Our canvases range from beginner-friendly to advanced.
What's included in a kit?
Each kit includes the thread colors needed for your design using DMC Pearl Cotton size 5, along with a needle threader and two needles so you’re ready to get stitching right away.
How do I get started with needlepoint?
We recommend beginning with lighter colors first, as they’re easier to see and help prevent darker threads from showing through. Use the continental stitch, working diagonally over each canvas intersection and stitching row by row. Keep your stitches even and avoid pulling too tightly. Refer to the digital stitching guide as needed and YouTube is a great place to find helpful stitch tutorials if you want to learn more.
Which stitch should I use?
For beginners, we recommend the continental stitch. It’s simple, durable, and a great place to start—but feel free to use any stitch you’re comfortable with.
I have a question about stitching - where should I look?
Your order comes with a digital stitching guide sent via email. It covers all the basics. If you still have questions about your canvas, you can always reach out to us by email.
What can I do with my finished design?
Once completed, your needlepoint can be finished in a variety of ways. Popular options include pillows, ornaments, belts, handbags, magnets, patches and framed pieces.
